Mars, born Peter Gene Hernandez, is an American award winning pop culture singer, songwriter, performer and music and record producer. When he was four years old, a child in Honolulu, Hawaii, he started performing with his family's band five days a week. His styles include pop, rock, reggae, R&B, soul and hip hop. Once he learned the art of writing pop music he wrote for Cee Lo Green, Flo Rida, Adam Levine, Brandy, Sean Kingston and others. With his tenor three octave vocal range he sings The Other Side, Grenade, Just The Way You Are, It Will Rain, Runaway Baby, Gorilla, When I Was Your Man, Treasure and others. Bruno Mars has sold 10 million albums and 58 million singles worldwide. He has received a Grammy Award, an American Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and a BRIT Award. In 2012 he appeared on SNL as host and musical guest and showed off his comic chops.
