Biography

Mike Post (born Leland Michael Postil; September 29, 1944) is an American composer. He is best known for his television theme music for various shows, including Law & Order and its spin-offs Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent, The White Shadow, The Rockford Files, The A-Team, Hill Street Blues, Magnum, P.I., NYPD Blue, Quantum Leap, L.A. Law and Mammoth. He is a Primetime Emmy Award and a five-time Grammy Award winner.
