Carl was born in Hamburg, Germany and was a composer, pianist and conductor. He began to compose music at the age of seven and only 5 years later he made his first public appearance as a pianist. When he was 19 he went on his first concert tour trough Denmark and Sweden which led to him being appointed as Court Pianist for the Christian VIII in Copenhagen, Denmark. Known compositions from Carl Reinecke are his flute sonata Undine and his flute concert. He was one of the most influential musicians of his time. After his retirement he spend all his time on composing music which led to more then 300 published works. Carl reinecke died at the age of 85 in Leipzig, Germany.
