Which arrangement is which

Easy piano and big note editions simplify the harmony and often change the key. Piano solo is a real arrangement of the theme. Piano/vocal/guitar includes a sung line where one exists. Orchestral or "score and parts" is the performance material and costs accordingly.

The reliable signal is the page count and the price, not the title. A two-page listing for a famous film theme is a simplified arrangement, whatever else the description says.

Official editions and transcriptions

Publishers issue official editions taken from the composer's own manuscript for a lot of major scores, and those are noticeably closer to what is on the soundtrack than the generic arrangements sold alongside them.

Everything here is in copyright — this is recent music — so free copies circulating online are unlicensed, and unlike public-domain material there is no lawful free version to fall back on.

Performance rights

Buying the sheet music lets you play it. Performing it publicly is covered by the venue's performing-rights licence in most countries, which is a matter for the venue rather than for you — but recording it, or putting a performance online, needs separate permission.
